Connect Asana for project and task workflows
Open Integrations, select Asana, and complete authorization. If your Asana identity belongs to more than one workspace or organization, confirm the intended destination during setup and in the resulting connection.
Asana is a Professional-plan integration. The TimeSentry administrator and Asana account must both have sufficient access to the records included in the workflow.
Plan the source of truthBefore synchronization, decide whether existing clients, projects, and tasks should be matched to Asana records or imported. Use stable names and identifiers. Importing records that already exist can create duplicates that require manual cleanup.
Review synchronized workAfter a sync, compare a small sample of project names, task names, owners, dates, statuses, and relationships. TimeSentry and Asana can use different status or assignment concepts, so confirm how your organization expects them to map before expanding the workflow.
TroubleshootConfirm that the authorized Asana user can see the source workspace and records. Check the active TimeSentry company, mapping configuration, and synchronization result. If an operation is still running, wait for completion and inspect both systems before retrying.
DisconnectStop scheduled or automatic synchronization first, then remove the connection. Disconnecting does not automatically delete imported TimeSentry records or Asana records.
