Understand AI-assisted time capture
TimeSentry can use captured signals from connected mail, calendars, communication services, desktop activity, browser activity, and Office work to propose time-entry details. The available sources depend on your connections, capture settings, plan, and company permissions.
AI output is a draft, not proof that work occurred or that it is billable. A suggested client or project can be wrong when names overlap or context is incomplete.
Review a suggestionBefore saving or submitting, confirm:
- active company and timekeeper;
- client and project;
- date, start/end time, and duration;
- description and activity category;
- billable setting and rate-related classification; and
- source activity and any duplicate entry.
Edit descriptions so they are factual, concise, and appropriate for invoices or shared reports. Remove confidential source details that are not needed.
Improve consistencyKeep client and project names distinct, map integrations correctly, and create narrow integration rules for repeated high-confidence patterns. Review suggestions regularly rather than allowing a long backlog to accumulate.
PrivacyEnable only approved capture sources. Follow your company's consent, client-confidentiality, retention, and access policies. AI assistance does not expand a user's permission to view source data.
