Track PowerPoint work with the TimeSentry Office add-in

Start a presentation session

Open the TimeSentry task pane in Microsoft PowerPoint and sign in. Choose Company, then Client, then Project. This order matters because the client and project choices are scoped to the selected company.

Select Start Timer when you begin and Stop Timer when you finish. The task pane displays the elapsed session time.

Prepare the entry

Confirm whether the work is Billable. Enter a clear Description, or choose AI Draft to generate a proposed description from the presentation and captured activity. Review the draft for accuracy, confidentiality, and client-appropriate language; edit it before submission.

Select Submit Time Entry after all required fields are complete. A confirmation screen indicates that the entry was submitted.

Good description practice

Describe the business work performed, such as preparing a client presentation, revising analysis slides, or updating speaker notes. Avoid copying confidential slide content unnecessarily. The description should explain the value of the work without exposing information that should not appear on an invoice or shared report.

Troubleshoot

If a project is unavailable, confirm the company and client. If activity appears delayed, allow the normal synchronization window and check the desktop companion when it is being used as the local relay. Before retrying a submission, check TimeSentry for an existing entry to prevent duplication.
