Navigate the TimeSentry web application
After signing in, TimeSentry opens the Time workspace. The main navigation across the top provides these areas:
- Time: create, review, filter, reconcile, submit, approve, and export time entries.
- Expense: record and review expense entries.
- Tasks: create, assign, organize, and complete work.
- Notes: keep company-scoped notes.
- Documents: upload, categorize, tag, search, download, archive, and restore files.
- Calendar: review connected calendar events.
- Finance: open Cash Forecast (Beta), accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Analytics: open dashboards and reporting tools available to the active company.
- Org: manage projects, staffing, client and team relationships, agents, contracts, and contacts.
The exact pages you can open depend on the active company, your role, its plan, and enabled features.
SubnavigationMany main areas display a second navigation row. For example:
- Time includes My Time and Reconcile.
- Finance includes Cash Forecast (Beta), AR, and AP.
- Org includes Projects, Staffing, Clients, Employees, Contractors, Collaborators, Vendors, Agents, Contracts, and Contacts.
Projects may be labeled Matters or Cases if the company changes its Project Naming Convention in Settings.
Company controls on the leftThe company switcher in the left rail shows the entity whose workspace is active. Select another associated company to change workspaces. This changes the data scope for the application; it is not simply a visual filter.
The left rail also includes shortcuts for:
- Integrations, where you connect and manage external systems;
- Company settings, where you edit company details and defaults; and
- capture-client health, when heartbeat monitoring is enabled.
Always verify the active company before creating, approving, exporting, or changing settings.
Notifications and background workThe notification control reports background operations and their completion state. Long-running imports, synchronization, AI processing, or other background actions may finish after you leave the page that started them.
Light and dark themesUse the theme control to switch the visual theme. Theme changes do not affect company data or another user's preferences.
If a page is missingCheck the active company, your role, and the company's plan. Some areas require configuration or an integration before they contain data. If a navigation item is visible but returns an authorization error, ask a company owner or administrator to verify your access.
