Filter, search, and export time entries
Go to Time > My Time. The consolidated view contains work owned by the active company and work received through company relationships, according to the selected view and filters.
Available filtersTimeSentry can filter time by:
- date range;
- display status;
- source;
- client;
- project;
- timekeeper;
- billable or non-billable;
- activity category;
- contract;
- billing status or client-funding state where applicable; and
- text search.
The exact controls can vary with company configuration. For example, billing filters require billing data and category filters require activity categories.
Use client and project filters togetherClient and project values come from the active company's linked project map. A received entry may point to a downstream project copy, but TimeSentry resolves the linked client for consolidated filtering.
If a client or project is missing, verify the active company and project relationship rather than creating a duplicate solely to make the filter appear.
Understand summary totalsThe summary on the Time page uses the same active filter scope as the list. It can break down entry counts and hours by status, source, billable setting, client, and project.
When a total looks wrong, clear filters and add them back one at a time. Check the company timezone and date range for entries near midnight.
Sort and page through resultsUse sortable columns such as date, project, hours, status, source, timekeeper, or confidence when available. Changing the number of entries per page does not change the filtered total; it only changes how many rows are displayed at once.
Export timeOpen the export action from the Time workspace and choose the available format and scope. Confirm the active company and filters before downloading. Treat exported time descriptions, client names, rates, and billing details as confidential business data.
An export reflects the selected company's view. Do not combine exports from multiple company workspaces without understanding linked-entry and approval-chain behavior.
Troubleshoot empty resultsReset filters, expand the date range, and verify the active company. Then check whether the work is archived, uses a different display status, belongs to another project, or was created by a source excluded from the current filter.
