Connect and configure Filevine

Create a Filevine token

In Filevine Account Manager, create a Personal Access Token (PAT) under API Tokens. Give it only the access needed for the intended workflow. Copy it securely; do not include it in email, chat, or a support ticket.

Connect TimeSentry
  1. Confirm the active TimeSentry company.
  2. Open Integrations and select Filevine.
  3. Enter the PAT and choose Connect.
  4. Open the new connection in Manage Integrations.
Configure project synchronization

Filevine supports legal practice-management synchronization for projects and billing-related workflows. Map existing TimeSentry projects, matters, or cases to their Filevine counterparts before enabling Auto-Sync Projects from Filevine.

Begin with a small set and verify names, identifiers, client relationships, status, and billing information. If the same matter exists under slightly different names, map it manually.

Rotate or revoke the token

If the PAT may have been exposed, revoke it in Filevine immediately and create a replacement. Capture current TimeSentry mappings before reconnecting. Removing the connection does not delete previously imported records.

Troubleshoot

Confirm the PAT is active and has access to the intended organization and projects. Check active-company scope and synchronization status. Do not retry a background job until you know whether records were already created.
