Upload and manage documents

Upload a document
  1. Confirm the active company.
  2. Open Documents and choose Upload.
  3. Drop a file into the upload area or click to choose one.
  4. Enter a display name, or leave it blank to use the filename.
  5. Optionally select a project.
  6. Optionally select a task.
  7. Choose Upload and wait for both uploading and finalizing to finish.

TimeSentry accepts PDFs, images, Office documents, ZIP archives, and other common file types. Do not close the upload dialog while progress is shown.

Connect documents to work

Linking a document to a project makes it easier to find in the client engagement and establishes the context needed for submission workflows. Linking a task records the specific piece of work the file supports.

You can update a document's name, description, project, category, and tags after upload when those fields and actions are available.

Preview and download

Open a ready document to preview it. Choose Download from the row menu to retrieve the original file. A file that is still processing may not be available until its upload state becomes ready.

Troubleshoot an upload

If an upload fails, keep the original file, retry on a stable connection, and confirm the active company. If finalizing does not complete, refresh the Documents page before uploading a duplicate; the first upload may already exist.
