Navigate the Staffing workspace
Open Org > Staffing. The workspace provides five related views:
- Summary: firm-wide planned revenue, planned expense, planned margin, budgeted hours, staffed percentage, and unfilled work.
- Clients: staffing rolled up across each client's projects.
- Projects: role budgets, team assignments, planned financials, and project actuals.
- Team: capacity and project allocation details for each team member.
- Utilization: historical logged time and projected allocation run rate by week or month.
If your company renamed Projects to Matters or Cases, that label also appears in the Staffing navigation.
Start with SummaryUse Summary for portfolio-level planning. Filter Open, Closed, or All projects and switch between weekly and monthly figures. Choose a hierarchy such as Client → Project → Role → Person, Role → Project → Person, or Person → Project → Role.
Summary can plan revenue and expense from each project's settings, directly from role budgets, or from contracts. Confirm these source controls before comparing totals.
Drill into clients and projectsClients rolls up allocated hours and team members across the client's projects. Staffing is still managed at the project level, so open a project to add people, change hours, assign roles, or edit role budgets.
Projects can be filtered by Open, Closed, or All. The selected project shows planned revenue, planned cost, planned margin, budgeted hours, allocation charts, team and role controls, and historical performance when actual time exists.
Review Team and UtilizationTeam groups members by company type and lets you change weekly capacity or redistribute project hours. Utilization compares capacity with actual or projected hours over time.
