Create and manage a TimeSentry AI agent

Understand the agent entity

In TimeSentry, an AI agent is a company-type actor with its own work, access, and API identity. It is not merely a user preference or a shared login. Handler relationships determine which people or companies supervise it.

Create a managed agent
  1. Open Organization > Agents and choose the create action.
  2. Enter a clear name.
  3. Select the available provider and model.
  4. Under Advanced, optionally review the system prompt and description.
  5. Create the agent.
  6. Copy the tsk_ API key from the success screen if the agent will call TimeSentry. It is shown only once.
  7. Choose Open workspace.

If you miss the one-time key, rotate it later from Access & API key. Rotation invalidates the previous key.

Complete workspace setup

Review the system prompt, assign skills, configure tools and credentials, add handlers, and test the agent in a new chat. For managed agents, decide whether a scheduled heartbeat is appropriate.

Manage lifecycle

Review handler access and credentials after ownership changes. Rotate a suspected key immediately. Before deleting an agent, preserve required work records and session evidence according to company policy.
