Company and individual settings reference

Confirm what you are editing

Open Settings and check the active company. When acting as a firm, the page is labeled Company Settings and changes can affect company-wide workflows. When acting as an individual, profile and behavior settings apply to that individual entity.

Profile information

Maintain the name, industry, website, addresses, description, and—where applicable—personal name, job title, and job description. These details can appear in organization, billing, AI, or relationship workflows, so use business-appropriate information.

Main settings groups
  • Time Entries: daily summary, background processing, email billing, billable defaults, categories, UTBMS codes, and AI mapping guidance.
  • Projects/Matters/Cases: terminology and supported coding options.
  • Financial: default billing rate and billing-data visibility.
  • Regional: time zone.
  • Communications: business phone and call-recording behavior.
  • Desktop Meeting Recording: company or individual meeting policy.
  • Client Health Monitoring: capture-client heartbeat retention.
  • Quick and Nightly Actions: automation for AI suggestions.

Many standard form settings save automatically after a short delay. Wait for the saved confirmation before leaving. Recording, heartbeat, and action settings use their own immediate save controls.

Change management

Record important company-wide changes and tell affected staff. Before increasing automation, test under a representative user and project. A setting may be valid but still conflict with client terms or firm policy.
