Connect Bill4Time and push time entries
You need the following Bill4Time information:
- Company ID, also called the firm or company code;
- REST API key;
- Bill4Time username; and
- Bill4Time password.
TimeSentry uses these credentials to import matters and push time entries. Store them according to company password policy and never send them in a support message.
Connect and configureOpen Integrations, select Bill4Time, enter the required values, and choose Connect. Then open the connection in Manage Integrations.
Map TimeSentry clients to Bill4Time clients and TimeSentry projects, matters, or cases to Bill4Time matters. In the Bill4Time setup area, select the Bill4Time employee whose identity should be used for exported entries.
Push time safelyVerify each entry's timekeeper, client, matter, date, duration, description, billable status, and rate before export. Start with a small batch. Confirm the entries in Bill4Time before exporting a larger period.
Prevent duplicatesIf an export times out or has an uncertain result, search Bill4Time before retrying. Repeating an export can create duplicate time. Correct client, matter, or employee mapping errors before the next attempt.
TroubleshootConfirm all four credentials are current, the API key has the needed firm access, and the employee list loads. A missing employee can indicate that the credentials cannot access that user.
